Electricians have long dealt with fiddly screws,
damaged threads, and pierced wires. Our new time
saving adapters for metal back boxes eliminate the
hassle for smooth, easy installations.

To easily guide the screw into the box’s threaded
lug, the tunnel-like mouth of the adapters helps,
especially in hard-to-reach places, a common issue
for electricians and decorators.
To protect cables inside crowded back boxes from
being damaged by screws when attaching faceplates.
Without protection, this could lead to short circuits or
earth faults.

The red adapters have an extra benefit, they replace
the damaged thread in a back box with a new one
built into the adapter. Back box threads often get
damaged and can’t be fixed, since they’re usually
only 1mm deep and fragile.
This damage can happen when faceplates are
installed or removed – by electricians during tests or
by decorators when painting. The red adapter has a
stronger, 5mm-deep, thread. Before using it, the
damaged thread in the box is drilled out with a 4mm drill bit.
